USS Jarrett

Commissioned in 1983, the Jarrett is an Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate that served both the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets across 16 years of Cold War and post-Cold War service. The Perry class frigates she represents were the most numerous warships in the U.S. Navy during the 1980s—built in volume to perform the escort and maritime patrol missions the fleet required at a cost the defense budget could sustain. She was decommissioned in 1999.
