USS Norfolk

Commissioned in 1984, the Norfolk is a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for the Virginia port city that is home to the world's largest naval station. Norfolk has been the heart of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet for over a century; a submarine bearing its name prowled the deep Atlantic in its honor for 18 years. She was decommissioned in 2002.
