USS Portsmouth

Commissioned in 1983, the Portsmouth is a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for the New Hampshire port city whose naval shipyard has built and repaired submarines since before World War I. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is where submariners go when their boats need the best work done; it is fitting that a submarine carries the name. She was decommissioned in 2004.
