USS Bunker Hill crest

The Bunker Hill, commissioned in 1986, is a Ticonderoga-class cruiser named for the 1775 battle that proved American militia could stand against a professional army. She served as the air warfare commander for carrier strike groups throughout her career, and her AEGIS combat system became one of the most battle-proven air defense platforms in naval history. She launched Tomahawk missiles in Desert Storm and continued protecting the fleet for three decades of distinguished service.
